In the last few years, UEFA has returned 90% of its revenues in support of local clubs and national leagues. This information is not sufficiently known. In the Super League, all profits would only flow between the founding fund and a few clubs.

Why does Real or Barcelona MUST have the most expensive players, even though they don’t have the money to do so? I would have a Ferrari too, but I can’t afford it. And the silly idea of playing the top 4 of the national leagues in the Super League? Um, he probably didn't mean the Romanian or Polish leagues ...

can someone educate florentino perez about the meaning of betrayal. you don't get to form a break away league where you and 11 other teams get to dictate who's in it and what competitions you have a right to play in as well as guaranteeing your positions in these competitions without ever earning it based on sporting merit. you never asked anyone about this not even the fans or your own players despite the fact this decision could of got them banned from there country's national teams. you chucked your managers under the bus by throwing them to the wolves (IE the Press) without warning them of you're decisions. You also sat on uafa & fifa's boards pretending everything is fine and you're totally committed the cause all the while you were plotting behind everyone's back and you now sit here wondering why people are mad as hell at you ??? Nobody likes to be betrayed (Hence) the nasty backlash

There is no "too big to fail" in football that is why we love the sport. You lose if your team performance is bad and you go bankrupt if your financial performance is poor. Stop investing Millions in Player you can not effort, invest in finance training, this already goes on for years. The irony is he made his money in construction business in Spain who was also a financial bubble in the end.

@Ralf Alfie Lee You want real talk, fine. Football is a billion dollar industry, your right on that, but the reason for it is for the fans. Without fans, football can’t exist. Fans are what make football so passionate, and the reason the super league can’t work is because the leaders with the money didn’t consult us fans, clubs, players and coaches. They themselves think this will save football. But football is about competition. Like Guardiola said, “ there’s a difference between effort and success.”. They think they’re saving football, but are in fact destroying it. And money is the ONLY REASON why they are doing this. And the fact that some of these rich leaders are Americans tells you why soccer isn’t popular in America. They care more about the damn money than the passion and true meaning of Football.

He explained a lot more in 90mins interview. He said is open to change the closed format even though he does not really want to.He listens to the people, fans and love football,he is here to build a solution. Would you agree with this format based 100% on domestic league results: Best 6 from Premier League Best 4 from Italy Best 4 from Spain Best 2 from Germany Best 2 from France Winner from Portugal Winner from Holland 20 teams split on 2 groups of 10 teams Best 3 qualify directly to quarterfinals 4th and 5th play between them Then quarterfinals, semis and final This top League would give money as solidarity to another league for middle/small European teams from Greece,Turkey, Russia etc that would play between them F*CK UEFA!!

English media sucks,as they don't speak Spanish and use Google translate taking sentences out of context ( e.g. the 40 Chelsea fans comment is a way of talking in Spanish but they did literal translation). Spanish Journalist asked him regarding changing the format and make it based on merit ( We all agree it should be based on merits in domestic league):He said is happy to review the format and find a better one so everyone agrees, it's key that Champions League is based on best teams and competitive European matches.

@Farhad Kohestani of course it's a lot of money. But you have to see in other perspective, Bradley Beal, a nba player (arguably top 30 player), earned 25 million usd. And La Liga + UCL has bigger market share than NBA. What I'm trying to say is, with the highest level of the most famous sport, Alaba wages is somehow worth it with what revenue he can bring. @capello85 i know how real madrid is structured. Even if they didn't pay transfer fee for him, he was asking for €450k a week at Bayern, they didn't want to pay him that so he left. Let's say he agreed €400k a week, that's around €20.8 million a year, and he agreed 5 year contract. That's a lot of money. But i can't deny that Perez has been delivering results at madrid, i don't like him one bit but he's gotten madrid lots if champions league titles, can't deny that.

They don't spend wisely, they overspend, they take out loans they can't pay and they they are general super fiscally irresponsible. Nobody forced Barca to pay 100 mil for Coutihno or Real to buy Hazard... both of which proved to be HORRIBLE purchases which didn't pay off and they are still in debt for...
